Part-Time Female Companion Support Worker

At Niamz Companions, we believe everyone deserves companionship, dignity and meaningful social connection. We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable individuals to join our growing team of Companion Support Workers. You will provide companionship and emotional support to older adults and vulnerable individuals, helping them remain independent and connected to their communities.

What you will do

  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Enjoy meaningful conversations over a cup of tea or coffee
  • Accompany clients on walks and community outings
  • Support clients to attend appointments and social activities
  • Encourage independence and reduce loneliness
  • Provide respite for family carers
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients

Please note: This role focuses on companionship and social support. Personal care is not required.

Registered Manager (Care at Home) | Pre-Registration

  • Location: Hybrid remote in Moodiesburn, North Lanarkshire, Scotland
  • Hours: Variable during pre-registration, transitioning to permanent full-time
  • Pay: Competitive salary, dependent on experience (to be discussed)

Niamz Companions currently provides high-quality companionship and wellbeing support services, helping people to remain independent and connected within their communities. We are now progressing through the Care Inspectorate registration process to establish Niamz Companions Care at Home as a regulated care service in Scotland. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Proposed Registered Manager to join us at this exciting stage and play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation.

What you will do

  • Support the Care Inspectorate registration process
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Standards and all relevant legislation
  • Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and quality assurance systems
  • Support recruitment, induction, supervision and development of staff
  • Promote a positive culture centred on dignity, independence, respect and person-centred care
  • Maintain effective safeguarding, governance and risk management practices
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, professionals and partner organisations
  • Support business development and service growth
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as required following registration

What we are looking for

  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills and experience using digital care management systems
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care
  • Motivated to help shape an ambitious and growing organisation

Essential requirements

  • SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care (Care Services Leadership and Management), or another qualification that meets Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements
  • Registered with the SSSC or eligible for registration
  • Previous management or deputy management experience within a Care at Home or social care setting
  • Good knowledge of Care Inspectorate requirements, the Health and Social Care Standards and Scottish social care legislation
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo a PVG check
  • Flexible approach to working hours during the pre-registration phase
