Staff safety & credentials

Standards you can trust, evidence you can see.

Inviting someone into your home, or your loved one's, is a big deal. We take that responsibility seriously. Here is exactly how we vet, train and support every companion.

Vetted & trained

How we vet every companion.

PVG scheme membership

Every companion is a member of Disclosure Scotland's Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme before their first visit.

Public liability insurance

Our team is covered by £5m public liability and £10m employer liability insurance.

Safeguarding training

Annual safeguarding refreshers covering adult protection, dementia awareness and confidentiality.

Manual handling & first aid

Where relevant to the role, companions complete certified manual handling and emergency first-aid training.

Confidentiality & GDPR

All client information is handled in line with GDPR. Records are kept securely and only shared on a need-to-know basis.

Lone-worker policy

Companions follow a documented lone-worker policy with check-in procedures and a 24/7 escalation contact.

Operational standards

Every visit, every time.

  • ID badge worn on every visit
  • Two references taken on appointment
  • Right-to-work checks completed
  • Annual performance review
